With over two decades of coaching experience spanning collegiate, professional, and youth levels, Dan brings a wealth of expertise and passion for developing athletes both on and off the field.
Dan's coaching journey began at Ohio Northern University, where he honed in on his skills as a running backs coach and offensive coordinator. During his tenure from 2002 to 2004, he provided expert coaching guidance to running backs, focusing on skill development, strategy implementation, and game performance. As the Offensive Coordinator for the Freshman Team, he designed and executed offensive schemes tailored to team strengths, mentored athletes to achieve peak physical condition and mental focus, managed game-day logistics, and coordinated with other coaching staff for optimal team performance. Dan's role also involved film analysis with Birdbox Editing to review and refine player techniques and team strategies. In addition to his role at Ohio Northern University, he served as a Graduate Assistant Coach from 2003 to 2004. He assisted in coaching linebackers, offering individualized training and strategic insights to enhance defensive capabilities. He played a key role in general team management, overseeing player schedules, equipment organization, and practice planning, while also contributing to the team's video analysis and scouting efforts.
Coach Stewart's coaching skills were further developed during his Spring Internship with the Dallas Cowboys in 2003 where he supported the coaching staff in organizing and executing practice drills, ensuring optimal player development and skill refinement. Responsibilities included managing player logistics, recording and analyzing practice drills and player performance statistics, and assisting in maintaining the inventory of training equipment and supplies.
From 2016 to 2019, Dan served as the Assistant Head Coach for Roswell Youth Football, focusing on defensive and offensive line development where he played a pivotal role in coaching and mentoring players, collaborating with the head coach to develop strategic game plans, and providing leadership and guidance to foster a culture of sportsmanship, dedication, and personal growth.
