Ty Lockett is entering his first year as a Varsity Assistant Football Coach at Loganville Christian Academy. Prior to joining LCA, Coach Lockett coached in a variety of roles across the football realm including high school, college, and professional stops.
Coach Lockett was a vital part of the GHSA State Championship coaching staff at Grayson High School as the defensive coordinator where he stayed until 2022 before heading to Park Crossing High School in Montgomery, Alabama as the head coach.
He coached at Blount High School in Mobile, Alabama (2001-2008) as the defensive coordinator and assistant head coach. In 2008 and 2009, Ty coached at Elbert County High School as a LB/TE coach in Elberton, Georgia. Staying with LB/TE coaching he moved over to Cedar Shoals High School in Athens, Georgia from 2009-2010.
Coach Lockett took the head coaching job at McNair High School in Atlanta, Georgia from 2010-2013 before returning to LB coaching in Waynesboro, Georgia at Burke County High School from 2013-2015.
Brunswick High School welcomed Ty as their defensive coordinator and assistant head coach from 2015-2017 before heading over to Valdosta High School from 2017-2019 as the LB coach and special teams coordinator.
Staying at Grayson High School for several years and coaching in multiple state championships, Coach Lockett is excited to bring his competitive, winning spirit to Hawkins Field.
