Jimmy Ernst comes to Loganville Christian Academy Varsity Girls Soccer with over 20 years of coaching experience.
From 2001-2005 Jimmy worked with the Gwinnett Futbol Club (GFC) coaching U13 REC Boys and U15/U16 Select Boys. During his time at GFC, he obtained his Georgia Soccer State F License, Georgia Soccer State E License, and Georgia Soccer State D License.
During his time with the College Experience Program (2007-2010) he was the assistant girls coach (U15-U18) and went on to be the head coach of the girls program (U15-U18) while also obtaining his National D License and his National C License.
2009-2014 led Coach Ernst to the Athens United Soccer Club where he received his National Goalkeeping Diploma while coaching the U10 Academy Girls and the U16 Select Girls.
Loganville Christian Academy has been blessed to call Jimmy Ernst Varsity Girls Soccer Head Coach from 2016-2017, 2018-2022, and now for the 2025 season. Along with club soccer playing experience at GSA from 1991-1993 and Atlanta District Amateur Soccer League (ADASL) from 1996-1999, Coach Ernst also brings a servant heart for leadership, organization, time management, communication, and problem solving skills to the soccer program at LCA.
The player/coach relationship has become just as important and necessary to Coach Ernst as the success on the playing field. He is committed to leading student athletes into becoming what God has set forth for their lives.
Jimmy has been married to his wife (Rachel) for 21 years and they share two children (Lily and Clay). Jimmy grew up in the Snellville/Loganville area while spending summers in upstate New York with extended family. When he is not on the soccer field, Ernst enjoys working out, rucking, backpacking, and gardening.
